It was just a great match for a short staycation in Dumfries with reasonable price. I appreciated the friendly staff who were very helpful when checking in. Bring your own toiletries since they might run low.

Clean room and friendly check-in experience
The stay was quite pleasant with a clean room and a well-organized check-in process where I received help right away. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to explore the area. I faced some issues with the water pressure in the bathroom which could definitely use improvement.

Significant issues included a malfunctioning TV due to dying batteries and a shower that felt neglected and worn down. Dust on surfaces, missing toilet roll in the bathroom, and a bed that lacked mattress protectors made for an uncomfortable experience. The presence of air freshener instead of a clean space gave it a strange smell.

The location is quite convenient, just a short walk to the train station and the bar downstairs provides a friendly atmosphere where you can relax and meet other guests.
There was no hot water during my stay, which was quite disappointing.

It was just a prime choice for a brief visit in Dumfries with decent value for money. The gentleman running the place was lovely and offered a discount for next time. Make sure to grab a drink in town before heading back for a peaceful walk.

The Standard Double Room was spacious, with clean bedding and a comfortable bed. The location is excellent, just across from the train station, which made getting around really easy. the shared bathroom could have been cleaner, and I did notice some dust on the surfaces. The atmosphere in the common areas was relaxed, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. it felt homey and laid back!

The location was convenient, just a short walk from the town center, making it easy to explore the area. Unfortunately, the shared bathroom lacked basic supplies like toilet paper, and the hot water was absent for the duration of my stay. The room itself felt outdated and not particularly clean, which detracted from the overall comfort. Though it’s adequate for a brief stay, it’s not suitable for those seeking a more pleasant experience.

Would be happy to recommend for a mini-break over the weekend.
Comfortable room, friendly staff, and an excellent location made our short stay enjoyable, as we appreciated the easy access to a nearby store and the added convenience of having a flat-screen TV to unwind in the evenings.

I had a lovely stay where I truly enjoyed the comfy bed and the extra coffee provided for my morning brew! The lounge area was perfect for unwinding with board games or catching a movie, creating a great vibe. The only downside was the slightly noisy heating system, but it didn't ruin my overall experience. 😊
